About Us

Miss West Africa Ghana is one of a collective of the various events that take place within the year as part of Miss West Africa International. The Miss West Africa Ghana winner will be sent to the grand finals taking place in the host country for the international as did in 2010 and 2011, and will be covered by international, local and satelite TV.

This year’s Miss West Africa Ghana will be an outdoor event at the MovenPick, breaking from the late afternoon with the ladies in their swimwear leading through to the evening with the finalist in their evening wear. The music on the night will be carried through by a live band, with 1 special guest performer and Funny Face as the host. There will be a headlining celebrities an V.I.P. guests from the entertainment industry from Ghana, as well as traditional performers and acrobats.

The girls will be selected by the management of Confidence Models from the UK. And they will go through a series of public appearances, radio and TV interviews alongside our main media sponsor Joy FM, highlighting great tourism aspects of Ghana.

Miss West Africa UK made its historical mark by holding the first ever Miss West Africa, Miss West Africa Gambia made impact by being the first host for Miss West Africa International, Miss West Africa Sierra Leone and Cameroon did the same by the involvement of the ministry of tourism and the government. This year we intend to have a stand out presentation for Miss West Africa Ghana.

Our defining plan is to have Miss West Africa Ghana on a minimum of 4 major Billboards across Ghana. Along side the radio support of Joy FM and Multi TV, and through a collective of activities from jingles to events hosting the most beautiful girls Ghana can discover. Fliers will be distributed 4 months ahead of the event to create awareness and discussions.

The ethos of Miss West Africa Ghana will be strictly based on tourism. Therefore, all videos, photography, activities, and characterisation of the girls will be centred around tourist locations and the encouragement of touring Ghana.
